Michael Swartz

Michael is the General Manager of Tilson and an IT Leadership, Information Security, and eCommerce consultant.  As the General Manager, Michael is responsible for client deliverables, resourcing, and business development across the family of companies, including Tilson Government Services.

Michael’s experience, which includes several roles in IT Leadership, Software Development, Networking, and eCommerce implementations, allows him to remain focused on the strategic and tactical needs of Tilson’s client base, and ensure that projects are a success for not only the clients of Tilson, but the consultants as well.  Maintaining a challenging and open work environment that allows talented consultants the room to perform to their potential on one of the most diverse set of projects is the most important aspect of Michael’s day-to-day work.

Prior to and since joining Tilson, Michael has worked on several specialized projects, including POS implementations, user interface designs, several security breaches in the Banking, Retail, and State government verticals, large-scale eCommerce implementations, and various telecommunications projects.

Michael is involved in the Maine and National IT community by participating in the Maine Development Foundation’s Leadership Maine Class (Sigma), the TechMaine Information Security Users Group, and NIST’s ZING IUSR project.
