Jason Carpenter

Jason Carpenter is a Consultant and member of Tilson’s IT and Information Security Group. Jason provides consulting services in a range of fields, including information security, software development, QA, IT support, and GIS. He brings more than seven years of experience to Tilson.

Jason works with Tilson’s Wireless and Telecommunications Group providing GIS analysis and administration for Maine Fiber Company, Inc.’s Three Ring Binder and the Massachusetts Broadband Institute’s MassBroadband 123 projects. His work enables the project teams to track the routes of the networks, and will ultimately enable the provisioning of fiber optic customer circuits and interconnections with other networks, while providing network views to support optimal assignment and leasing of fiber strands. Jason also provides troubleshooting and QA support for Tilson’s software development group and other team members.

Jason has worked with Tilson’s clients to operate and manage a wide range of IT services, including consolidation of corporate telecommunications accounts, development and integration support of hand-held scanners for inventory processes, configuration and maintenance of a large enterprise Security Information and Event Management system, and technical writing of implementation guides for network security hardening standards. Prior to joining Tilson, Jason acted as the QA testing and customer support lead for an independent developer of custom ERP software.
