Gene Wendland has been appointed the Chief Financial Officer of Tilson Technology Management located in Portland, Maine. Wendland brings with him nearly 25 years of senior finance and operations management experience to the company.

Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Village Candle, Inc. in Topsham Maine, and prior to that that he was Sr. Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at G. H. Bass & Co. in South Portland Maine.

Wendland has substantial management experience in retailing and wholesaling consumer products, domestic manufacturing and overseas sourcing operations, corporate restructuring and refinancing, creating strategic business plans and workable budgets, and providing an open inclusive work environment.  He also has significant experience in IT project management, especially in the consumer product arena with heavy emphasis in inventory control, purchase order management and back office applications.

In announcing the appointment, Tilson Technology Management’s President Josh Broder said Wendland will be instrumental in helping guide the company through the explosive growth of the business.

“Gene’s solid experience will help us manage everyday performance, allowing us to focus on relationships with our diverse client base, bankers, and investors. His experience, knowledge and solid track record will be valuable to our management team as we enter the next stage of our corporate growth,” said Broder.

Wendland is an alumnus of Missouri State University in Springfield MO, and resides in Portland, Maine.
