Maine Fiber Company President Joshua Broder to Speak at MTUG September Meeting
(More news)Portland, ME- Joshua Broder of the Maine Fiber Company, Inc. (MFC) will address the members of the Maine Telecommunications Users Group (MTUG) at 9 a.m. on September 8, in the Dyke Center for Family Business at Husson College in Bangor.
Maine Fiber Company, Inc. is currently constructing the 1,100 mile fiber optic network through the most rural parts of the State to reach under and un-served areas. Maine Fiber Company’s grant funded facilities are being provided to all internet service providers and telecom carriers on an open access-non-discriminatory basis, which means that any carrier can use the facilities, at the same price.
Broder will be discussing the Three Ring Binder Project as part of a panel on broadband expansion in Maine, and will discuss the impact of the biggest American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded broadband expansion project in Maine and the benefits for telecommunications companies throughout the state.
MTUG is a Users Group dedicated to providing economic and social benefits to its members, Maine businesses and residents by working with telecommunications services providers and legislative and regulatory agencies to enhance the telecommunications infrastructure and services in Maine.
